On Deck
The exterior of the Lagoon 450 is separated into three distinct zones. The raised steering station on the flybridge provides all-round views, a safe, high boom and a double-width sunbathing area in front of the wheel. Below the substantial coachroof the aft cockpit is a pure relaxation space, uncluttered by sailing controls, and features a large U-shaped dining area and a huge cushioned lazyboy area where you can chill out in the shade. Forward of the saloon, yet another cockpit reveals itself: this sunken, seated area catches the best of the breeze when you’re at anchor and is the perfect spot to enjoy a peaceful sundowner or two.
Saloon and Cabins
The trademark vertical windows of the Lagoon 450 provide excellent headroom, while minimising the amount of direct sunlight entering the saloon. There are plenty of lockers to store your provisions and a generous amount of refrigeration space. The saloon table seats 6-8 people.
The 3 cabin version has two roughly equal sized double cabins in the port hull, with the beds at the bow and stern and two en-suite bathrooms in the middle section. Both bathrooms have separate walk-in shower stalls. The cabin in the starboard hull has one double bed, a vanity/storage area in the middle section and a huge bathroom in the bow. The entire cabin can be separated from the saloon by means of a lockable sliding door.
Under Sail and Power
Hugely rewarding to sail and reassuringly safe and solid, the 450 F will eat up the miles with ease.
She has a powerful, fully battened mainsail, a roller furled overlapping genoa, 3 slab reefs and a mainsheet traveller. The main halyard winch is electric as standard. With the genoa winches at opposite ends of the flybridge steering station, tacking should ideally be carried out by two people.
Domestics
Typical galley equipment includes a gas 3 burner stove with oven and grill, two fridges with ice trays (some may have a freezer instead of the 2nd fridge). Double drained galley sink, pressurised hot and cold water to the galley, cabins and transom shower.
